"I saw you last night, more than a week ago, it must have been when you decided to come here," Alice says serenely as she steps inside and looks around with a nostalgic smile. They've lived in a lot of places, but so much had happened in Forks. For immortals, it's rare to find so much change in only one place, in such a short time.

She spins in place, her hands clasped tightly in front of her, to get a better look at the woman she's only seen in her mind's eye. Beautiful, of course she is, Alice had already known that, and now she knows why she'd gotten the impressions of angry and sharp. Jasper isn't here to know what she's feeling, but Alice thinks she must be feeling about as nervous as she is, for very different reasons. Not a bit of it shows, though, and it's almost intimidating in a way.

"I saw how careful he was with you," she says more softly now. "I'm sorry he didn't tell you everything I saw, he should have, he knows better, but I'm glad, I'm so glad you're here." And she holds out a hand again, fingers spread, watching to see if this decision, whatever it is, will prompt her to see further out. Things are shifting very rapidly now, it's difficult to get a clear vision of anything, she needs someone to make a decision.
